Share

Description

Reviewing addition facts with the sum of 10?

The students will get 10 red/yellow counters, put them into a cup, shake them, and pour them out. Then they'll sort the red ones and yellow ones and count them. After, they depict those numbers on the 10s frame and create the corresponding number sentence.

Great for students to use for addition to ten. I have them use it during stations or for a choice for when they are done with an assigned task.

My students love anything that involves manipulatives. We would roll and dice and they put that many on the 10 frame. Then we counted how many of the squares were empty, to see how many more we needed to make 10.
