This fun Unit on 2D and 3D Shapes and Space has 40+ entertaining games in addition to engaging short stories and poems designed in consultation with educationists to help preschool, pre- kindergarten and kindergarten kids learn about shapes. Once done with this unit, the students can confidently identify and describe shapes and their features as well deal with their orientation, spatial relations and related vocabulary. They will also be able to describe objects in the environment using names of shapes and describe the relative positions of these objects using terms such as above, below, on top, near, far...
The mini-games and stories can either be used in the classroom or as simple, fun activities for home. There are 2 special funny stories that are bound to fill your classroom with sweet giggles. Inside and Outside Matters and Why is the Donkey Known as a Fool?
For a truly immersive experience, kids can choose the storified games OR if they are looking for a quick revision, they can skip the stories and just play the games to brush up their concepts and enjoy math. What’s more, kids also have the option to choose between digital and print modes, i.e., kids can play the interactive games online or the teachers/parents can print the games for them as printable worksheets. For print mode, instructions are given in green. And for online games, instructions are given in red.
