I have developed and honed this 16-day unit from 14+ years of teaching ninth grade English (although it can easily be adapted for other grade levels). It includes comprehensive, day-by-day lessons for the following short stories: Just Lather, That’s all; The Sniper; The Most Dangerous Game; The Necklace; The Secret Life of Walter Mitty; The Cask of Amontillado; and A Sound of Thunder.
