Description

Teaching4Moments has created a fun way to track sight words that the student is learning as well as a way to motivate and help them track their data.

“Word Clubs”

Instructions:

Help your students increase their fluency by having them work towards passing off each “Word Club”

You will find here 800 frequently used words that your students can practice reading and keep track of in their own individual binders. Use these clubs to track your students’ progress.

Each student will receive a copy of these pages to keep in a binder. During a one on one assessment (parent helpers can easily help out with these) have the child read each word as quickly and correctly as they can. Add a small checkmark next to each word that they struggled with. Have them color over the words with a crayon, the words that they said correctly.

After the assessment is finished, record the number of words correct at the bottom of the sheet.
Have the student record this number on the Data Graphs provided.

Add the words that the student struggled with to a place that the students can easily practice them (paper on desk, note sent home, a list of words for parent helpers to work with them on, etc)

Test students as frequently as you wish and offer a small reward for each “Word Club” passed off.

These are also a great resource for parents and homeschool families to use!
