This reading comprehension activity book is intended to supplement your Edmark Reading Program Level 1. If you are not using the Edmark Program, your students can also benefit from learning more vocabulary words to build their reading fluency. The activity book with 3 answer choices is designed to help your student master reading and comprehension of frequently seen vocabulary words. This activity book comes as a PDF/printable, self-checking digital activity and assessment on Easel.
This Activity Book 1 is Great For:
- PreK students: Ages 3-5
- Elementary Students Who Struggle With Standard Classroom Materials
- Special Education Students
- Students With Autism (grade clusters K-2 & 3-5)
- ESL, EFL, ELL
- Mixed Grade Classrooms
- At Risk Students
- Reluctant Readers and Writers
- Students With Language Impairments
The Packet Contains:
The first 50 words from the Level 1 program word list (There are a total of 150 words in the Level 1 program. Included are extra worksheets with words for printing, cutting, and laminating, should you want to create an activity book.
You can laminate, cut, and velcro the words, and place them in a large binder to create a hands-on learning experience for your students. They will also last you for years to come. Alternatively, you can assign the activity digitally on Easel by TPT and your students can work on it from any device. Most recently, I've added a self-assessment on Easel as well so your students can practice and self-correct.

Common Core Standards and DLM Standards For Students With Disabilities Addressed:
LA.KRF3d Read common high-frequency words by sight.
LA.3RF4b Use context to confirm or self-correct word recognition and understanding, rereading as necessary.
ELA.EE.RI.K.7 With guidance and support, identify illustrations or objects/tactual information that go with a familiar text.
