Description

This Powerpoint guides students through the rules for Significant Figures. I've found that the fact that it is on a foldable helps student's remember the rules better, as well as, find their notes again in the future.

First, the students will create the foldable using computer paper (no copies required!). Then, they will be lead through the major rules for significant figures and examples of each type. Finally, after learning how to add and subtract significant figures, students will be given example problems using the rules.

This Powerpoint includes the instructions for constructing the Foldable as well as all examples and answers.

I felt like this resource was perfect for slowly reinforcing Significant Figure rules into my instruction. The students loved it, and they are still referring to it daily.
