Description
This turns a simple worksheet into a fun and engaging maths activity using SIMPLE AND COMPOUND INTEREST with QR codes - it has worked well with my own Maths classes.
Check out this video of how the activity runs.
Students scan QR codes to reveal the questions and then complete the working out and answers on the included student answer sheet.
No internet or wifi is required! No student accounts for anything are required.
Students will need to use the following skills:
-Calculate simple interest
-Calculate compound interest
-Calculate future amount after interest is applied
This activity can be printed and is ready to use immediately!
There are also ideas included for how to extend this activity.
This activity typically takes students 20-25minutes, depending on how you decide to distribute the QR codes.
These can then be provided to students in a variety of ways:
-posted on the classroom wall
-hidden around the room
-provided on the student worksheet (Student worksheet with QR codes)
-spread around the school as a navigation activity (refer to instruction video and the section ‘suggestions for adapting the activity’).
