Simple Genetic Inheritance Interactive Notebook Foldable and Practice Problems

Description

Need a quick, no-prep activity that walks your students through setting up monohybrid and dihybrid crosses? Do you need a way to scaffold practice for your lower students while challenging your higher-level students? This product is perfect for you!

Students begin by reading a quick "cheat sheet" that leads them step-by-step through identifying parent genotypes, writing crosses, and filling out Punnett squares for both monohybrid and dihybrid crosses. They move on to a set of practice problems formatted into a book sized to fit a composition book page. The practice problems are leveled- use Level 1, which supplies students with Punnett squares and distinct spaces to write crosses and answers, or challenge students with Level 3, which gives them the problem and requires that they draw their own Punnett square.

A teacher guide, table of contents, and answer key are also included, and everything is sized to fit into a composition book!

This is a great addition to my students notebooks. I really like the "cheat sheets" with the practice problems to help guide them if needed.

These will make great INB resources for special instruction and also higher level instruction. I teach a general life science class and I gave the dihybrids for my higher level learners to try for extra credit. I loved the instruction page on how to do a dihybrid. It really helped explain the concept for my gifted learners that wanted to try on their own. Great resource!
