  2. Record: They document their design with a photo or drawing, paying attention to colors.

  4. Trade & Build: Groups exchange pieces and instructions with another team and attempt to build the model based solely on the written directions.
  5. Compare: Students compare their recreated model to the original design and discuss clarity, challenges, and improvements.
  6. Repeat: Time allowing, students repeat the process with other teams' instructions to refine their ability to write and interpret directions.
