Description

This lesson was written for a third grade STEAM lesson but can be used in other grades.

It is written with DODEA standards.

It is a one page lesson plan. It includes a second page with tables for data collection and graphing.

This allows students to work on simple machines, probability, graphing, and 21st century, critical thinking skills. I am a STEAM teacher and this is a great lesson for bringing STEAM into the classroom.

I wish it had a bit more guidance for creating the pulley system or that it was clear from the directions that kids would need to really know how to create simple pulley systems to use the activity. Sounds really fun and rigorous, though!
