Description

This packet contains 20 picture cards of commonly found LEVERS and diagrams for each of them. Use these cards at centers or for partner work.

Make sets of cards with the picture on the front and the diagram on the back. Print them out on card stock and laminate them for continuous use. Have students quiz each other or use them for review.

✅ There is an answer key that can also be laminated; if students use dry-erase markers, they can self-check or work with a partner to see how many levers they know.

For students:

  • Engaging activity that can be self-checking
  • Cards show familiar types of Class 1, 2, and 3 levers
  • Work individually, with a partner, or in a small group

For teachers:

  • Just print and go!
  • Print the cards on cardstock and laminate them for repeated use
  • Set the cards at centers or use them for partners or small groups
  • Students can use the answer key to self-check

This was a great resource! I had the photos posted around the class and the students were given a handout. The handout had the name of the lever, (ex: wheel barrow), and then a spot for them to put their guess. Then behind the photo, was the answer to it. The students would then record that in the 'correct answer column'. It was fun to see them get excited when they got it right, and then they were encouraged to discuss with their partner if they got the answer wrong. Thank you for this one!

I'm so glad! It's a fun way to review or get more familiar with all the kinds of levers that exist in this world.
