Description

Get ready to WOW your students with this simple yet highly engaging states of matter science experiment. Perfect for the end of the year or during your matter unit, students will explore changing states of matter as a liquid magically transforms into foam right before their eyes!

Elephant Toothpaste! introduces students to two key concepts of physical science-that liquids are a state of matter and that each state of matter has its own identifiable properties. Students will also witness a chemical exothermic reaction - aka "heat".

Students communicate their observations and the results of this experiment through group discussion, writing, and drawing. This is a great introductory lesson to improve their ability to follow directions and conduct experiments. Two flip book formats round out this pack making it perfect for combined grade classes!
