Simple Sentence Analysis Task Cards- Create Your Own Sentences
Share

Description

This material is a great companion to my Simple Sentence Analysis Task Cards. After the students have practiced identifying the the functions of words in a sentence using the task cards, they can move to this work where they are given the sentence structure and it is their job to create and write a sentence that matches it. Within this set there are five different levels. Each level builds on the one before and contains nine task cards.

As a note, because each sentence that’s being made is unique to the child creating it, there is no corresponding answer key. However, I have included examples of sentences that would fit the structures found in the different levels as a guide.

Lastly, these cards can be used with my Simple Sentence Analysis printable material.

Enjoy!

These were just what I needed for teaching sentence creation. My other sentence analysis creation cards made leaps that my students couldn't follow and I feel like these cards follow a slower and more natural progression (adding smaller steps to sentences) as I go through them with the children.
