Description

Included in this download are 3 flip books for the simple and compound interest formulas. These flip books work great for review of the interest formulas, as stand alone reminders or as part of an interactive notebook.

There are 2 versions of each flip book included. One version has the definitions for each variable filled in and an example problem at the end. The other version is blank inside except for the variables. This version works well if you'd like a little less scaffolding and for students to write their own notes.

Assembly is very easy. Just cut out the rectangles on the page, stack them by size and staple the left edge.

I used this resource in MBF3C (Ontario). This was a fantastic resource that puts a creative/engaging spin on interest formulas - The flippables were used as our “note” for the lesson (accompanied by slides that I created).

This was a great resource to use in my students math journals. The students loved this to refer back to when they forgot how to work something out.

This was a great resource to use in my financial literacy unit! I use it to help teach simple and compound interest and similarities and differences between the two, as well as to practice the various types of interest. I was a great resource to use in my 8th-grade math class as well as in my math intervention pull-outs!
