Your upper elementary students will enjoy simplifying numerical expressions using the order of operations with this self-checking partner game for google sheets. These expressions have up to two levels of grouping and do not contain exponents.

In the game Humans vs Zombies, students take on the role of either a human trying to save humanity or a zombie trying to attack. They answer questions to work toward their character’s goal. When questions are answered correctly, the student’s character will take over part of the image. The objective is to end the game with the highest percent of the image. As students answer the questions correctly, their score is calculated automatically, and their character is revealed.
