Description

Students will match strips of paper by simplifying an expression involving the distributive property and finding the equivalent expression on the other set of strips. (Two different colors of paper are recommended, but the strips are also labeled with numbers and letters to keep separate.)

This activity can be done individually as a matching activity (answer sheet included), or it can be done in pairs and played as a concentration game. Teacher and student instructions for display are included for both options.

There is an enrichment option for students who need a little more of a challenge.

Enjoy!
