Description
Transform learning in your classroom as students practice simplifying radical expressions (square roots) with this unique printable and digital activity, where the excitement of a scavenger hunt meets the creativity of a color by number.
If your students are anything like mine, they LOVE practicing math in a way that doesn't feel like they are doing math.
This fun scavenger hunt will spice up the traditional color-by-number activity and will provide students feedback as they look for previous answers to break the code for each color in the activity.
Two Activity Variations to Try!
- Printable Task Card version - this version will get students up and out of their seats as they complete a scavenger hunt and discover what each number will be colored on their coloring page.
- Digital for Google Sheets version - this version is ready to assign copies to your students where they will engage in a similar scavenger hunt experience - digitally! As they solve problems correctly, the picture will gradually be colored in AND they will be unlocking the next problems as they go. This is a great activity that self-checks as students work through the problems.
Which version will your students enjoy completing most?
