This middle school math 8 set of task cards contains:
20 pairs of radicals, square roots, and simplified radicals, square roots, (total 40 cards) Students will be able to practice simplifying square roots and will become fluent in doing so.
These are great to use for the following:
*Putting students into pairs
*Quick formative assessments
*Games (spoons, go fish, old maid, etc…)
Questions to use with these cards:
*Simplify the radical. Explain/show your reasoning.
*Estimate the radical as a decimal. Explain/show your reasoning.
*Estimate the placement of this radical on a number line. Explain/show your reasoning.
*Write a number that is no more than three greater than this number. Explain/show your reasoning.
