This worksheet contains 20 exercises on the topic "simplifying rational expressions" by factoring. The proposed rational expression simplification exercises are designed to include factoring methods such as common factor, difference of squares, perfect square trinomials, expressions of the form x ^ 2 + bx + c, ax ^ 2 + bx + c.

When finishing simplifying a rational expression, the student will be able to find the answer that he has obtained in a table of keys whose size is 13x6 squares. Each rational expression is labeled with a color, the student must color his answer in the key table. At the end of the "simplifying rational expressions" exercises, students will be able to quickly compare the answers obtained by comparing the shape that they obtain from coloring the squares in the key table.

It is recommended to form teams of 3 to 5 members and to compare the figure obtained by teams.
