There are 12 rational expressions that the student needs to simplify. Factoring trinomials, difference of 2 squares and greatest common factor are used throughtout.

After simplifying, the student finds their answer in the table. This tells them what color to use on the tessellation design. There are 18 options in the chart with only 12 of them being correct.
