Description

Your students will learn three methods for simplifying square roots – the cake method, factor trees, and simply looking for perfect squares.

Vizual Notes are a great way to activate the creative side of the brain while learning material that often just uses the logical side. Graphics and visuals help link numerical concepts to images. Hand students a copy of the notes sheet (page 2), break out the colored pencils and gel pens and let the fun begin.

What a neat idea! Your students are lucky to have you and will probably remember simplifying radicals even more distinctly because of the fun memory associated with the lesson.
