WHAT TEACHERS ARE SAYING:

"We've been doing 1 recipe per week in my HS Life Skills class this year and love this simple, visual format! I like sending a copy of each one home with the students after we've made it in class so that they can make it at home with a parent if they liked it! We plan to compile all of our recipes for the year and make our own book."

- Angelica

"(I) found that I lacked recipes that would be functional for my students later on. This resource filled that gap! I even sent home a few recipes during distance learning and some of my families actually prepared the dishes with their children. Amazing!"

- Amber

"Basic cooking skills are so important for my kiddos! Thank you for providing variety in cooking lessons! Simple directions and steps for my students!"

- Heather

Awesome amount of recipes

Great layout and lots of recipes to use. We are waiting for some funding for the food portion, and looking forward to trying this at the end of the year with small groups from our class once a week. They are going to work with the EA in our staff kitchen in small groups - sort of like a 'Breakfast Club' sign up once a week. Thanks!

Fantastic Resource for Teaching Functional Cooking Skills
Rated 5 out of 5

Great value
This is an excellent resource for teaching real, functional cooking skills in life skills classrooms. I really appreciate that the recipes focus on simple, everyday foods that students can realistically make at home, which makes the learning meaningful and practical. The visual step-by-step format is clear and easy for students to follow, and the additional materials (tools and ingredients pages, sequencing worksheets, and quizzes) provide great opportunities to reinforce learning. I also like that the recipes share similar ingredients and steps, which helps students build confidence and independence over time. Overall, this is a thoughtfully designed and highly practical resource for teaching independence and life skills in the kitchen.
