Description
How about a new twist on task cards? Try fun fact cards!
Looking for simple single-digit addition task cards for grades K-2, using pictures in the addition equations? The ability to understand addition and subtraction equations is part of the math standards regarding operations and algebraic thinking, even in the primary grades.
Try a cross-curricular approach to task cards. This no prep Google Slide™ deck has math problems to solve, but each also gives a fun fact about the solar system. They use pictures of various objects to add. They can be used for math units, of course, but also when studying outer space.
The slides are self-correcting. If the student clicks on the right answer, the deck moves to the next slide. If incorrect, a "Try Again" message is displayed and they move back to the question.
The deck opens in Preview mode, ready to play. If you assign through Google Classroom, put the link in your Assignment's Instructions. Do not use "add link" or the game won't work (that sometimes changes the URL). The URL should read "preview," not "edit, or view."
This product is also available as a BOOM Cards™ deck:
