Description

This file includes one station for skip-counting. It is aligned to the common core standards for NYS and are used in relation to the fourth grade module 1. The standard it relates to is 4.NBT.1. This could also be used for enrichment in third grade or for review in fifth grade.

In this station, students choose a card. First, they determine the pattern. For example, is it increasing by 10,000 or decreasing by 10,000. Then they figure out the next four numbers in the sequence.

I laminate these cards so that they last longer.

Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right. For example, recognize that 700 ÷ 70 = 10 by applying concepts of place value and division.
