Number Patterns– Skip Counting Task Cards

Practice Skip Counting by 2’s, 3’s, 5’s and 10’s

*Use these number sequencing task cards to help students better understand the idea of number patterning. The activity cards include both ascending and descending patterns and may work best for *Grades K-1 and reinforcement for 2nd grade.

This activity is a great and easy way to have children work as teams in a whole class, small group work, in a math center, or as an end of a unit assessment tool.

Materials Include:

•Other Materials Needed: List of simple items needed not included in the product

12 Missing Number Task Cards- 2 per page: Count forward by 2’s, 3’s, 4’s, 5’s, 6’s, 7’s, 8’s, 10’s, 11’s, 20’s.

12 Missing Number Task Cards- 4 per page: Same number patterns as above but 4 on a sheet. Use this style for activities as needed.

•Answer Key for all task cards:

•Recording sheet: The same recording sheet can be used with both sets of task cards.

•4 Make Your Missing Number Pattern Task Cards: There are 2 cards with examples and 2 cards without examples. There are 2 cards per sheet.

•2 Blank Pattern Task Cards: Students can create a mini-booklet or work with a partner to create number patterns and accompanying pattern rule

•All material comes in color and black and white for your printing needs.

It is perfect for your math center, independent activities, teacher-led lessons, and assessment tools at any time of the year.
