Description
This makes a great math center for students to practice skip counting and/or grouping/arrays. For this center you will have to provide several different small objects (paperclips, beads, stickers, beans, etc.).
Students are to grab a handful of one type of object and count them using skip counting or grouping strategies.
I had my students put their objects in groups of 2s, 5s, or 10s as we were working on skip counting with those numbers. You could certainly have students work with different groupings to practice multiplication.
This could also be a fun homework assignment where students could find their own objects to practice with at home.
Thank you! Please leave feedback :)
