The power-point ignores the African Transatlantic Slave Trade's routes to the Caribbean and South America. These facts are only partly true. African Slavery consisted of the Americas-North, Central and South America. These facts should be included because it gives an accurate and complete picture of the Transatlantic Slave Trade, especially when we teach Hispanic/Latino children and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15th to October 15th annually. Over 800,000 African slaves were transported to Cuba, Bolivia and throughout South America. More African slaves were transported to South America than North America. Slavery existed in all of South America. Please revise your power-point to include this information (including a map showing the routes to South America) and I look forward to reviewing it in the near future. Thank you!
As noted in the description, this PPT only focuses on the 13 colonies. Also, it is geared towards the South Carolina 4th grade standards. However, it can be edited to match your standards.
Not bad, just know that the language is very generalized. :)
