Slope Intercept #2 worksheet description
This worksheet is four pages in length, but there are a modified set and answer key for a total of 12 pages. Understanding slope intercept form is necessary to satisfy the requirements for common core 7.EE.4. Prerequisite for this worksheet is for students to understand how to find slope and y-intercept. Problems 1—4 a graph with a linear line is given and student must give slope, y-intercept and the equation, problem 2 is completed on the modified sheet. Problems 5—13 slope and an ordered pair is given, problem 11 is completed on the modified sheet. Problems 14—19 two ordered pairs are given, problem 16 is completed on the modified sheet. A variation of the worksheet is to have the students complete a check for each equation. This worksheet is identical to “Slope Intercept #1 worksheet”, students needs a little more practice with this concept.
Note: My philosophy for worksheets. If worksheet has a modified sheet, this is for my ELL, remedial, and my inclusion students. A modified sheet will have one of the problems worked out. This allows student to see how I want their answer arranged. Most of the students will receive the regular worksheet without modifications. I try to allow the last ten minutes of class for students to work independently on their homework. Because I know what misconceptions they will make it is easy for me to walk around help the students. If a student completes their homework then they are allowed to check their answers with the answer key. All of my worksheet has an answer key. I have points in a blue outlined text for each problem this allows students to score each problem in class during grading. While grading student put the number correct over the total points; then they must finding the percent from the fraction.
