Description
These Montessori command cards are for practicing independent work in math using the small bead frame. It is recommended that forming quantities and mastering static and dynamic addition on the bead frame be mastered before attempting subtraction. The recommended pre-requisite command cards can be found here:

To use the cards, the child forms the given equation on the small bead frame to arrive at the correct difference. They can check their work on the reverse of the card, which provides a control of error for the child. In this way, children can check their work independently.
Many other command card sets do not include the answer on the back, which makes the child reliant on the teacher for the control of error.
The numerals are coloured according to the Montessori math hierarchical colors. The command cards are in no particular order.
