How About a Snow Day is a fun way to read yourself in or out of the room? This product came about as a means of having my intervention students cross their mid line. This product is super fun in that it tells students about many superstitions to do during winter weather to persuade the weather gods that there should be a snow day the next day. You know...flushing ice cubes down the toilet, wearing pj's backwards, etc.
All you have to do is print these cards on card stock. Laminate them and attach them together using heavy duty book tape like in the preview file, and students walk on this putting their feet on the footprints, causing them to cross their mid line while walking along the story. I am putting these on my floor on the way out of my room so it will be the last thing my students do this January when exiting my intervention classroom! I think it will be a fabulous way to squeeze in a little more reading while crossing mid lines, on the way in or out of the room!
