Description

Students LOVE making a marshmallow snowflake using toothpicks and marshmallows! This task card shows how to construct the snowflake in four easy steps. The blue part on each picture indicates what should be added for that step. Students follow the sequenced steps to construct the snowflake. This product contains the task card as shown for making one snowflake. Both color and grayscale versions are included. After following the directions on the task card to make this snowflake, students love to extend the activity by creating their own snowflakes. Great center activity!

Easy for students to use. It would be more great if there were additional designs included.

My students loved using this resource as a fun way to rap up our geometry unit. It was a great activitity to use for centers. Students were able to work in small groups independently to deomonstrate what they learned and practice their oracy skills.

My students enjoyed this activity. We used foam balls instead of marshmallows, they kept comparing their work to the picture. I was pretty impressed at their thinking processes, they were impressed at their creations!
