Here's a fun 'winter themed' math resource with story problems that include: joining, separating, and comparing. Frosty fun for your students to practice these skills.

Each snowman page includes a ‘we do’ and a ‘you do’. Every page has two similar problems to solve. The first problem you work through together as a whole group (we do) . The next problem students work on independently for practice (you do). Students will need to show work and write explanations.

I found this most helpful, as I could model strategies for my students to try with the first problem...the next problem allowed my students to really check for understanding.
