This is a packet I created for my special education classroom. It has an information page about each planet. Students then must take the information and answer questions about the planets including the planet's order, how the planets got their names, the distance from the sun, size compared to Earth, diameter, number of moons, whether it is a gas giant or rocky planet, length of day, length of year on the planet, and other interesting facts about the planets. The packet also provides interesting facts about the planets including the make up of their surface and atmosphere. Students also have to answer 10 questions about the major bodies in our solar system (including Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, along with questions about their moons) based on the information provided. Includes the answer key. I am a special education teacher who used this for the MCAS-Alt exam for 7th and 8th grade and 10th grade Earth Science, but is perfect for students without disabilities as well.
