Description

The Solutions science writing activity gives 5th grade students the necessary materials to test their knowledge of chemistry! The activity uses an interview question and answer model to create a fun, engaging print-or-digital exercise. Students can extend their science reasoning and exploration as they enrich their writing. Each product has been created to allow for virtual learning so 5th grade science students can stay engaged inside or outside the classroom.

Available in 32 individual or bundled topics (click here for the BIG bundle), each writing prompt activity is TEKS- or NGSS-aligned. Creative, low-prep, and high-quality, student-centered writing activities work for elaboration or review with other Kesler Science products.

Prompt Format: Interview Q&A

Included in Purchase:

  • Teacher Directions: Includes answer guide, project ideas, and complete and half-sheet rubrics.
  • Projection Version: Save paper and project the prompt to a class or share your screen virtually.
  • Full-Sized Handouts: Includes a writing prompt, student self-check, pre-writing strategy, and a full-sized layout template for students. It can be printed in color or black and white.
  • Half-Sheet Handouts: Includes prompt and student self-check. Sized to be easily attached in interactive notebooks or writing journals.
  • Digital Interactive Version: Created in PowerPoint and easily saved as Google Slides. For in-person or remote learners, it can be assigned and completed in Edit mode (PowerPoint or Google).
