Digital Self-Checking Boom Cards are aligned to Common Core Math Standards:

4.OA.3 - Solve multi-step word problems posed with whole numbers and having whole-number answers using the four operations, including problems in which remainders must be interpreted. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.

Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will be able to solve multi-step contextual problems posed with whole numbers using any combination of the four operations.
  2. Students will be able to interpret remainders in multi-step contextual problems.
  3. Students will be able to represent multi-step contextual problems with an equation using a letter for the unknown quantity.
  4. Students will be able to assess the reasonableness of answers using estimation strategies.
