Solve & Seek - Rates, Unit Rates, and Equivalent Ratios - DIGITAL ACTIVITY
Share

Description

This is in the form of a digital "trail" activity. The students will begin on the the first card. They will solve the problem on that card and their answer will lead them to the next card. They will continue to solve and search until they end up back at the first card.

This is formatted into a self-grading Google Form.

Students are directed to show all of their work on a separate sheet of paper. You can assign this through Google Classroom and direct students to upload an image of their work to the assignment if desired. You can also add a question to the end of the form, change the type of question to File Upload, and have students upload an image of their work before submitting.

For example, if a person walks 1/2 mile in each 1/4 hour, compute the unit rate as the complex fraction ½/¼ miles per hour, equivalently 2 miles per hour.
