This foldable goes over solving systems of linear equations with graphing, substitution, and elimination. It is a great tool for discussing when it is best to use each of the different methods to solve systems of linear equations. In the foldable there is a section for a description of when to use each method, along with examples for each method.

     ● Fill in the Blank Foldable

     ● Completed Descriptions Foldable

     ● Blank Descriptions Foldable

All of the foldables have the same 5 example problems. The completed descriptions foldable is great for students with accommodations or students that have a hard time keeping up with notes during class. The blank descriptions version is great if you prefer to come up with your own descriptions! You could even have students come up with their own descriptions with this version.

Understand that solutions to a system of two linear equations in two variables correspond to points of intersection of their graphs, because points of intersection satisfy both equations simultaneously.
Solve systems of two linear equations in two variables algebraically, and estimate solutions by graphing the equations. Solve simple cases by inspection. For example, 3𝘹 + 2𝘺 = 5 and 3𝘹 + 2𝘺 = 6 have no solution because 3𝘹 + 2𝘺 cannot simultaneously be 5 and 6.
