Solving 2 Step Equations Graphic Organizer
Share

Description

This graphic organizer is great to use as a review of the more difficult 2-step equations. These are the problems that I usually find students struggle with the most. I suggest copy it on a different color than white (students love this for some reason) and possibly markers or colored pencils. If you pass out markers, tell them to work it out on a separate paper before putting it on the graphic organizer (just in case they are wrong). You could go over the problems one-by-one yourself, or you could call students up to do them on the overhead or board. It truly just depends on what you are comfortable with and what your class would get the most out of. I didn't not include the work in this one because so many teachers teach solving equations differently...so use the method that you have been using in your classroom. I would make sure that they keep it and use it as a reference. I usually have them set up a section in their notebooks just for Graphic Organizers.

These were good examples to place in the students' notebooks. I copied them two to a page and then they taped them in.
