Description

This activity is designed to be completed with a partner, but includes a version for students to work independently. Each person in the pair gets either version A or version B. The corresponding problems on each person's worksheet is similar. Each student reads the description on their worksheet, writes an equation and solves it on their own. There is a section for students to check their work, so students can either use it to check their own answer, or check their partner's answer. Once both students have solved their problem, they will answer a comparison question that relates the problems on each of their papers. Each problem models a real world situation. This activity includes 6 problems, and an answer key is included.
