Description

Are you looking for a fun way for your students to practice solving quadratic equations by factoring? This pack includes 24 question cards and matching answer cards. There are 2 versions of the task cards so that you can print in color or black and white.

Directions:

This resource can be used in three different ways:

1. Print and go with a single sheet of 24 questions to print for each student.

2. A set of 24 task cards which can be cut up and laminated.

3. A set of 24 task cards with 24 matching answer cards to be paired together.

A recording sheet is provided for students to record the question card number with its matching answer card.


Objectives:

This resource has been designed to practice:

  • Rearranging equations to equal zero.
  • Factoring equations.
  • Solving to find the values for x.
  • Solving quadratic equations with a = 1 and a > 1.
  • Solving basic x^3 equations.

Contents:

This resource includes:

  • A single worksheet with all 24 questions.
  • 24 question cards on 4 pages (6 per page).
  • 24 answer cards on 4 pages (6 per page).
  • A recording sheet for students to record each question card with its matching answer card.
  • Teachers notes.
  • All answers.

Notes:

All questions have real solutions.

All answers are included, so you can easily mark students work.

These questions should take around an hour for students to complete.

Suggestions:

For more able students, use the answer cards and ask the students to work backwards to find out the questions.
