Solving Equations
This is a very basic puzzle that students can use to practice solving equations. It would be a good puzzle to use as a fairly quick warm-up at the beginning of class, or to assign as homework.
Students solve the 12 equations and then match them to the solution. If they have matched them correctly, they can read the secret message down the side of the page.
These equations do involve distribution and some fractions.
The answer to the secret message is included.
