This lesson has everything you need to teach a "Thin Slicing" lesson on solving equations using square roots for 8th grade math. These progressively challenging task cards start students with simple square roots of perfect square and guides them through the process of solving equations using square roots with up to 3 steps. This lesson with printable task cards uses Building Thinking Classrooms strategies for teaching math created by Peter Liljedahl.
