Day 1 – Product Rule & Quotient Rule

Students learn how to:

  • Multiply powers with the same base (add exponents)
  • Divide powers with the same base (subtract exponents)

Day 2 – Zero, Negative, and Power Rules

Students explore:

  • Power Rule (multiply exponents)
  • Zero Exponent Rule (why any nonzero base to the 0 power equals 1
  • Negative Exponent Rule (rewriting using reciprocals)

Day 3 – Mixed Practice

Students combine all exponent rules in cumulative practice problems.

This day strengthens retention, identifies misconceptions, and prepares students for assessment through spiral review.

Day 4 – Quiz

Students demonstrate mastery by evaluating a variety of exponent expressions using multiple rules.
