Solving & Graphing Multi-Step Inequalities Task Cards

Description

Students will practice solving and graphing on a number line multi-step inequalities using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division properties of equality, distributive property and combining like terms. Students will practice creating number lines either drawn or on their own with rulers.

These cards can be used in various ways such as: a pre or post test activity, classwork, early finisher work, Math centers or a whole class activity with the cards scattered around the room on the walls for classroom movement and interaction, 2-4 problem assessments and many more ideas.


There are 6 different answer recording sheets depending on how you want to use the cards.

Ideal for Pre-Algebra and Algebra I students.

This resource contains:
teacher directions
20 cards set up as 4 per sheet

20 cards set up as 2 per sheet

answer sheet - for 10 task cards with columns: Task Card #, Problem, Set-Builder Notation and Graphs (number lines, student place numbers)

answer sheet - for 10 task cards with columns: Task Card #, Problem and Graphs (number lines, student place numbers)

answer sheet - half sheets for 10 task cards to graph on drawn number lines (students place numbers on number lines)

answer sheet - 1 labeled with numbers 1-10 and 1 labeled with numbers 11-20 with room for work and number lines

answer sheet - teacher picks 4 cards to use, students draw number lines and can be used for a possible assessment

answer sheet - teacher picks 2 cards to use, students draw number lines and can be used for a possible assessment
