Description

This Solving Linear Equations activity is a high-school level activity that is self-checking and engaging for students.

It includes 10 questions total with the following skills:

  • solving equations with expressions in the numerator
  • distribution
  • fractions
  • decimals
  • proportions

The question stack format is similar to a scavenger hunt format where students solve a problem and then find the answer on a different card.

With questions stacks, everything is solved at a student's desk instead of around the room. This is a nice change of pace from a regular worksheet. This format keeps the student's confidence growing since the remaining cards form an answer bank. Self-checking and confidence building is a win!

If you like the question stack format, you may also like the Order of Operations Question Stack activity.
