Description
Do you need some extra interactive and differentiated warm-ups or review for your solving equations unit? Then this resource is for you!
Math Task Cards and Checkpoints are a fun and engaging way for your students to practice and there are so many ways you can use them! I include a document with the download with detailed instructions for over 10 different uses including warm-ups, spiral review, games, and collaborative group work.
Topics included:
1. Solving Two-Step Linear Equations (includes fractions and decimals)
2. Solving Linear Equations with Brackets and Grouping
3. Solving Multi-Step Linear Equations (with variables on both sides)
4. Modelling and Solving Word Problems with Linear Equations
*Aligns with Math 9 Solving Linear Equations unit in B.C. Canada*
Resources Included:
- 4 checkpoints (1 per topic) with 3 tasks each differentiated into 3 different difficulty levels so students know where they are at and what they still need to work on. There is a space for them to reflect and self-assess.
- 5 sets of task cards (1 per topic + into/basic skills set) with 3 tasks each. These are intended for small groups on vertical non-permanent surfaces.
- 1 page document outlining about 10 ways you can use the checkpoints or task cards including warm-ups, spiral review, games, and collaborative group work.
- Step-by-step answer keys and editable .docx and .pdf filetypes
- Each question is marked with an icon indicating which mathematical competency students are using (understanding, communicating, reasoning, or connecting).
