Looking for an engaging way to practice solving literal equations with your students? Look no further! This extremely low-prep and high-engagement Connect 4 activity has you covered! This activity includes 16 literal equations (multi-variable equations) for students to solve. Students get quick feedback on how they're doing, so they can learn and grow from their mistakes over the course of the activity. Whenever I play this game with my students, they beg to keep going after class has ended, asking if they can just play 5 more minutes during their passing time. This is perfect for an Algebra 1 class, but I also use it with my Algebra 2 students for beginning of the year review. Even my older students love this game!
An answer key and a student work recording sheet is provided. Sometimes, I play the game with whiteboards, and students love that way, too!
