Description
Solving Multi-Step Equations Color By Number/Code
Looking for a fun and interactive activity on Solving Multi-Step Equations? This digital Self-Checking resource allows students to practice Multi-Step Solving Equations in a fun and engaging way. Equations include variables on both sides, using the distributive property, combining like terms and includes answers that are in fraction, decimal and integer form.
There are 10 problems:
- Positive and Negative Solutions
- One problem with No Solution (NS)
- One problem with Infinitely Many Solutions (IMS)
- Some Answers are in decimal form but no rounding is required. Students can enter their answer as a decimal or fraction, both forms are accepted.
- Includes the distributive property of both positive and negative coefficients and variables on both sides
This is a no-prep activity. Perfect for homework, in-class activities, tutorials, and as a supplement to your math curriculum. Also great for distant learning, hybrid learning and online learning.
What's included?
- Digital version Google Sheets™
- Printable Recording Sheet
- Answer Key and fully colored example
How do Color by Number/Code activities work?
- If students enter the incorrect answer into the answer box, it will turn red and no color for the picture will fill in.
- If the correct answers are filled in the answer box will turn green. PLEASE NOTE: The students can solve the problems and answer in any order, however the color for the picture will not start to fill in until the questions are correctly answered in order.
Common Core Aligned:
* 8.EE.7a - Give examples of linear equations in one variable with one solution, infinitely many solutions, or no solutions.
* 8.EE.7b - Solve linear equations with rational number coefficients, including equations whose solutions require expanding expressions using the distributive property and collecting like terms.
