Description
This foldable will help your students tackle the basic steps when solving a multi-step equation!
There are many types of multi-step equations and solving them can be overwhelming for students! That is why I have chosen 3 example problems to focus on, that requires students to distribute, combine like terms, and solve for a given variable (all including both positive and negative terms). This gives students a great reference to look back on when stuck on an equation, and will not overwhelm them with dozens of crazy looking problems!
-Each page fits 2 foldables when copied back to back
-4 different versions of the foldable so you can pick which one you prefer best
-Answer key & pictures of the finished product included!

This is a great resource to help students with solving equations.
My 8th graders enjoyed this review of equations before we took the step further for 8th grade math.
Great resource for my students to keep after we are through with the module.
This was perfect for a direct approach to solving multi-step equations for my prealgebra students. Thanks!
This has been so helpful for my learners who need a visual resource in math! Thank you!
Simple and straight forward. The students could do this independently to practice and hang on to it to study.
Perfect foldable! Thank you for creating this great resource! Easy to use with my students!
My students enjoyed this!

CCSS7.EE.A.1
Apply properties of operations as strategies to add, subtract, factor, and expand linear expressions with rational coefficients.
CCSS7.EE.B.3
Solve multi-step real-life and mathematical problems posed with positive and negative rational numbers in any form (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals), using tools strategically. Apply properties of operations to calculate with numbers in any form; convert between forms as appropriate; and assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies. For example: If a woman making $25 an hour gets a 10% raise, she will make an additional 1/10 of her salary an hour, or $2.50, for a new salary of $27.50. If you want to place a towel bar 9 3/4 inches long in the center of a door that is 27 1/2 inches wide, you will need to place the bar about 9 inches from each edge; this estimate can be used as a check on the exact computation.
