Description

If you're looking for a fun, low-prep way to practice solving multi-step equations, this digital or printable Tarsia puzzle is a great option! Students solve 11 equations and match each one to its solution by assembling triangular puzzle pieces. When everything is correct, the pieces form a complete shape which means students can self-check their own work without you having to grade a thing. It's perfect for small groups, partner work, or early finishers.

I included fractions and special solutions (no solution and infinitely many solutions) to give students a little extra challenge and keep things interesting. It's a step up from your basic equations practice, but nothing too overwhelming!

This resource works for both print and digital! The digital version is a PowerPoint file that's compatible with Google Slides, so you can easily assign it through Google Classroom or any online learning platform.

What's Included:
• Print version (PDF) — just print, cut, and go
• Digital version (PowerPoint / Google Slides compatible)
• Answer key with the completed puzzle

Standards: CCSS 8.EE.C.7 and CCSS HSA.REI.B.3

If you have any questions before purchasing, feel free to reach out! And if your students enjoy it, a quick rating would mean the world — it really helps other teachers find this resource. 🩷
